LA SPIROTECHNIQUE - Test bench for regulators

The two-hose Mistral was at its top; the Royal would have been marketed the next year while the single-hose Aquilon was beginning its glorious career. In this joyous climate, La Spirotechnique decided to supply an ideal mean to test regulators’ correct performances to those who performed a good care of their regulators, proposing a real and serious test bench, equipped of all the idoneous instruments to maintain them perfectly. This bench was connected to a high-pressure air supply (up to 200 bar), and it allowed to check the perfect seal of the different regulator’s components, the value of its average pressure, the first push-off effort, that is the effort to trigger the air flow at the first inhalation; so, it gave the possibility to make the opportune regulations suggested from the instruments’ data. All this is detailed in the eight-page manual from 1963 here below, also present in the Workshop section in jpg. format.
